Neighborhood Safety - We Need Your Help
We have had several complaints from residents about too many cars being parked in the street. Please try to park your cars in your driveway whenever possible and also remember that if you must park in the street you need to be facing the same direction as the lane is headed, and parked along the curb (parallel parked) and not pulled straight in even if you are on a dead end cul-de-sac. It is against the law to park on a blind curve as well as beside a stop sign or fire hydrant.

Grass Clippings

Just a reminder that it is against the law to blow your grass clippings into the street. We've had several complaints about blocked storm drains due to excessive amounts of yard debris. Please dispose of your grass clippings and other yard debris properly.
Car Break ins - Are you at risk?
There have been a couple of car break ins within the neighborhood and police have alerted us that the thieves are known as 'flippers', meaning they walk along the street flipping door handles looking for unlocked cars. If you park your vehicles in your driveway, please make sure that they are locked and that you remove any valuables from them. The individuals are usually dressed as joggers and often strike early in the morning or after dark.

Lake Dredging Began March 5th 2012
We will begin a partial lake dredging process using our contractor, Integrated Lakes Management (ILM), next week. The process will last most of the week. This process, as described in the next paragraph, will begin at the beginning of the lake near Camden Lake Parkway since that is where the silting is most severe.
We will be repeating this for several years to remove silt. It is much less expensive and controlled than trying to do the lake all at once.

ILM will remove sediment from the pond using their amphibious tool carrier. The wet sediment will be pumped through a hose to the shore where it is deposited into the sediment bag. The clean water will leave the bag while the sediment remains. Once the sediment has dried within the bag, the sediment will be spread and seeded. Below is a video which shows the sediment removal process.
