Having Difficulty Mowing Your Yard? We realize there are some homeowners who really struggle in being able to keep their yard property mowed. Whether it’s due to an illness, death in the family, divorce, or perhaps a serious financial hardship, there is help available.

The Board has been approached by a few concerned homeowners who have offered their services to help. If you’re having a real hardship, please contact one of the HOA Board members or All-In-One and we’ll connect you with someone who can help.
Love Thy Neighbor? If you are able-bodied, have a lawnmower, love this community and like helping your neighbors, please consider joining up to help in this program. Our goal is to reach out to those in real need offering service and set up a rotation schedule that’s easy for the volunteers. Thanks for considering this volunteer opportunity.

Annual Egg Hunt a BIG SUCCESS!
|
This year’s Easter Egg Hunt was a roaring success. This year we brought back the flashlight hunt for the older kids, up to 12 years old on Friday night the 26th. There were refreshments and glowsticks for all. Then the younger kids had their turn on Saturday morning.

The weather was perfect for it. The kids ran around finding eggs and playing with their friends having a blast. The hunt ended with a “decorate-your-own cookie” station. Click Here for Photos!

The Board recognized the service of its retiring Board Member, Tracey Mlincsek and the service of Ginger Wallsinger for her above-and-beyond clubhouse cleanings!
The Camden Pointe Board of Directors has now appointed Russ Webb to the Board. Also, Eric Swalberg will be joining the Camden Pointe Board of Directors as a 6th non-voting member.

The Camden Pointe Sewer Repair Project has been delayed due to the recent flood issues and the wetlands that will be affected by this project. The project was tentatively slated to start this December, however as it stands, the Water System will try to push the project back until the end of summer 2010 to minimize the disturbance and inconvenience. This project will primarily affect the residents on Camden Lake Circle.

Holiday Toy Collection Update!

I’m so pleased to share that over 40 gifts were donated for Christmas at the Calvary Children’s Home today. The girls of the Camden Pointe Junior Tennis Team would like to thank everyone for generously supporting their efforts to help other kids. Four members of the tennis team spent 3 hours wrapping gifts this afternoon. Click Here for Full Story and Photos!

Recycle Your Phone Books
Sydney Oden is a Girl Scout in Troop #2441. In an effort to earn her “Silver” award in Girl Scouts, she is requesting to again offer a phone book recycling date for Camden Pointe. The Board approved her proposal. The date will be Saturday, November 7, 2009. Please just take your phone books and leave them by your front door in a plastic bag by 12:00 noon that day. There is no fee to participate as this is not a fundraiser, but a community service event. Last year, Sydney collected 94 phone books and her goal this year is to collect 200. There will be a reminder email sent next month on this event.

Allatoona High School Lacrosse Boosters are hosting a Craft Fair and Silent Auction Sunday November 8th from 11:00-6:00 in the Allatoona High School Cafeteria and Courtyard. We are currently seeking area crafters to participate in this event.
This being our first inaugural event, we are very committed to its success and expect attendance to be high. Comprehensive advertising and marketing will be done throughout Acworth, Kennesaw and Marietta, as well as through our feeder schools and area churches. We are certain our advertising and marketing efforts will result in high attendance and provide great exposure for your business/craft.

Unfortunately we have suffered some vandalism at the amenities. The picnic table near the grills between the pool and tennis courts as well as some chairs at the tennis pavilion have been destroyed. Also, the handsoap dispensers in the bathrooms have been ripped off the walls. If you ever notice any suspicious behavior, please don’t hesitate to report it to 911. Vandalism costs us all needlessly. Please be considerate
